Network Engineer

Position Summary

Work you’ll do 

• Maintain and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations​

• Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required​

  Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures​

  Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems​

  Replacing faulty network hardware components when required​

  Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications​

  Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems​

  Operating master consoles to monitor and performance of networks and computer systems​

  Coordinating computer network access and use​

  Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software​

  Perform project tasks independently and may lead workstreams, directing the efforts of others​

  Provides coaching to junior staff​

  Participate in and or lead the development of deliverable content that meets the needs of the client and contract​Review deliverables for accuracy and quality​

  Use your prior experience to anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues​

  Contributes to proposal development​

Qualifications 

Required:

• Bachelor degree in Information Technology related field of study with a network engineering focus
• 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
• Travel up to 50% (While 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.) 

Preferred: 

• Certifications: Security+, CASP, CCNA-Security, CISSP

• Additional Computing Environment Certification desired: MCTS, MCSE, MCSA or other MS Client/Active Directory certifications preferred
