Cloud Native Development Consultant

Moreover, this Portfolio seeks to enhance our clients' business operations, and help them take advantage of new technologies. As our clients navigate dynamic and disruptive markets, these solutions are designed to help them drive product and service innovation, improve financial performance, accelerate speed to market, and operate their platforms to innovate continuously.

As a Portfolio we also have the specific responsibility of driving our strategy and investment around Cloud. This focus, in addition to our previously established software engineering and operational transformation capabilities, positions us for long-term success in the market.

What You'll Do

As a Consultant, you would be expected to:

Translate business requirements to technical design

Lead modules on the engagement

Design and Development

Ensure standards and best practices are followed

Prepare technical documentation

Debug and trouble shoot issues.

Act as a bridge between the other application teams in the engagement.

Provide estimations

Qualifications and Experience

5 to 7 yrs. of Software Development Experience in the relevant technologies

Good understanding and experience of cloud native application design principles (like micro-services, stateless application meant for cloud, containers, 12 factor app principles etc.)

Experience with Java, Spring, Spring Security, Spring MVC, Spring Integration, Spring Data

Familiarity with application and infrastructure monitoring tools such as New Relic, Splunk

Strong written and verbal communications are a MUST

Familiarity/Experience with container technologies, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes etc.

Knowledge on CI/CD tools like Bosh, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Concourse is preferred

Experience working on agile development teams (ideally leveraging Scrum or Kanban)

Experience with Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo, TeamCity, and other Continuous Integration tools

Experience with production systems and dealing with production issues

A clear understanding of cloud service and deployment models

Experience working on a team delivering a customer facing product

Improve and document standard operating procedures

Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills

Some experience in any of the following platforms is a must

Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF):

Experience in developing and deploying Cloud Native Apps on PCF

Experience in developing and deploying Spring Boot Microservices

Maintain and configure Security Enabled Spring Cloud Services

Nice to have knowledge or experience on PCF Spring Cloud Data Flow and Spring XD

Pivotal Cloud Foundry Developer is preferred

Amazon Web Services (AWS):

Experience in deploying Cloud Native Apps on Elastic Beanstock

Experience in configuring and managing Beanstalk features like Monitoring, Scaling and Dynamic Updates

Experience in developing and deploying Microservices on AWS Serverless Platform

Experience in AWS Lambda, Step Functions and Serverless application development

Well versed with AWS ALM tools like AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild

Developer or Associate Architect certification in AWS is preferred

Google Cloud Platform (GCP):

Experience in deploying Cloud Native Apps on Google Container Engine (GCE)

Experience in configuring and managing GCE using Stackdriver for Monitoring, logging, Scaling and Dynamic Updates

Experience in developing and deploying Microservices on GCE and Google Kubernetes Engine

Experience in Serverless application development using Google Cloud Functions

Developer or Associate Architect certification in GCP is preferred

Microsoft Azure:

Experience in deploying containerized web apps on Azure App Service or Azure Kubernetes Service

Experience in developing and deploying Microservices on Azure Fabric Service

Experience in Serverless application development using Azure Functions

Developer or Associate Architect certification in Azure is preferred
