We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our Sales Partner Services product group in the Sales IT team as a Sr. Software Development Engineer. This role will provide the technical leadership for 6-7-person development squad, as well as lead the design/build solutions for new features and direct the production support our portfolio of B2B partner portals, self-service applications, and Incentive systems. This role requires a passion for building and delivering applications and systems that our customers and stakeholders love. This development leader role will be responsible for developing and implementing Java/J2EE applications and converting SOA service with APIs/Microservices. In addition, this Sr. Software Development Engineer will be involved in product configuration, performance tuning and testing as well as production monitoring. There is also an expectation that the Sr. Software Engineer will demonstrate expertise around modern software design and development.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with and leads other product team members (UX, architects, and product management) to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions
- Writes custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, test cases, to do “destructive testing” to ensure adequate resiliency in production
- Identifies unsecured code areas and implements fixes as they are discovered with or without tooling
- Identifies, implements, and shares technical solutions that can be used across the portfolio
- Identifies product enhancements to create a better experience for the end users
- Research and/or investigate technical issues impacting the organization and recommend solutions
- Provides application support for software running in production
- Proactively reviews the Performance and Capacity of all aspects of production: code, infrastructure, data, and message processing
- Triages high priority issues and outages as they arise
- Participates in learning activities around agile software development and development core practices, and mentors other team members in these best practices
