Project Manager, Fuel Trading and Analysis

Delta’s Fuel team is responsible for lowering Delta’s fuel cost through maximizing profitability of our refinery. This position is responsible for the strategy and marketing/procurement of intermediate blendstocks/feedstocks for the Monroe Energy refinery for the Delta Fuel Team. You will work closely with the Fuel Optimization team and Monroe refinery personnel in order to properly optimize all downstream units while conducting commercial activities that include (but is not limited to) negotiating purchase and sale agreements, scheduling, and market analysis. You will also work with the various departments within the Supply and Trading team to understand the logistics and market impact of our business decisions.

• Liaise with internal and external schedulers to ensure on time sales/deliveries of feedstocks to Trainer refinery
• Gain full understanding of our supply logistics and have a thorough understanding of how the refinery operates and where constraints may exist
• Build and maintain commercial relationships, while evaluating business opportunities in the Northeast and abroad for potential intermediate trading opportunities
• Develop and present trade ideas and supply opportunities to management
• Work closely with Monroe personnel regarding inventory levels and constraints
• Develop and support business development ideas to assist with the optimization of the refinery
• Research and analyze performance of current business as well as identify new potential opportunities
• Develop and update quarterly slide decks that will be presented to the Monroe Board of Directors
• Provide executive level quarterly updates on major changes within the refinery/renewable landscape
• Provide analysis and insights into key trends that impact the our department, including providing detailed market analysis for various commodities
• Report monthly cost/income for inclusion in Monthly Performance Review
