    Position summary

    ole: Assistant Manager, Engineering, Asset Care & Maintenance**

    Level: 6A

    Reporting: Manager - Engineering, Asset Care & Maintenance

    This role is responsible for executing the implementation of Asset Care/Manufacturing
    Excellence strategy and specific projects aligned with the USL Performance Ambition that focuses on improving
    operations discipline and standardization of manufacturing processes. The outcome required is to drive an Asset
    Care culture that measurably optimizes machine performance, improves the efficiency of processes and reduce
    manufacturing costs.

    Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation

    Experience: 2-5 years of relevant and hands-on experience in Consumer Goods manufacturing production/maintenance experience.

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Demonstrated understanding and experience with Manufacturing Excellence principles

    • Strong focus on Asset Care as well as 5S, TQM, and TPM

    • Excellent planning and execution skills

    Areas of Responsibility:

    • Site Facility & Asset Care Ownership: Own overall site facility maintenance and upkeep, ensuring sustained improvement in site conditions, L1 audit performance, and reliability of manufacturing assets.

    • Asset Care Strategy Execution: Develop and implement an Asset Care strategy aligned with Global Supply, USL ManEx, and Manufacturing strategy to reduce machine downtime, improve OEE, and enhance product quality reliability.

    • Performance & KPI Management: Manage processes to deliver unit-level KPIs including Cost/Case, Cases/Man Day, OEE, PPM defects, and overall cost and quality performance of the site.

    • Health, Safety & Compliance Impact: Deliver sustained improvements in site Health & Safety performance with a clear focus on reducing LTA and TRA rates through robust systems and behaviors.

    • Capability Building & Cost Governance: Build technical capability of site teams through structured process excellence initiatives; optimize maintenance spares, R&M, and CapEx budgets to support long-term operational efficiency.
