CP&A Modern Trade Executive is accountable to translate the Brands and commercial strategy into solid Customer planning, identifying key success metrics and relevant tracking system and give guidance to Field Sales, Key Accounts and Sales Teams on how to sell Premium leading brands, providing the tools to drive brilliant execution of Sales Drivers in our main channels and ensure the right S&OP in all channels physical and digital. Evaluate, define and complete new ways of workings
Decision Making
Skill in building active collaboration with Channel Managers /Commercial Managers and customers to ensure concept applicability in each final outlet
Build brilliant partnerships with agencies and cross functional teams to deliver breakthrough content and execution
Effectively handle Management team providing right priorities and agility to respond to customer/sales field needs
As the coordinator of all in-store executions for the respective channel (leading the store back planning execution approach), recommends changes and interventions to ensure activation plans are achieved On Time in Full in an efficient and effective way.
Influences commercial action planning to course correct critical metric performance with fact-based insights generated through execution data analysis.
Influences decision making by inputting the annual commercial strategy and the related channel trade execution plan.
Key component on the decision-making process for CAP to build required plans to deliver commercial KPI's
Financial Responsibility
Owns and track Trade Investment Execution: Trade Spend & A&P assigned to Chile)
Lead own T&E budget and is expected to adhere to all related policies, and to not exceed its assigned budget.
Project runs 3rd parties (POS Sourcing, BTL Agencies, Logistic providers...) working closely with the Head of CMO, Procurement and Distributor partner to ensure we are optimizing investment and driving out costs.
Deep understanding and responsible for Measurement and Evaluation (Pre&Post) in order to target the right investment to improve value whilst delivering for our consumers, shoppers and customers.
Leadership Responsibility
The role reports to the Head of CMO Chile and has strong relationship with Commercial Channel Manager. The role does not have direct reports but needs to work closely and be able to influence and build links with distributor partners, sales teams and external agencies and Diageo internal & external collaborators.
Key Outputs/Deliverables
Lead One Plan Forecast process for the business ensuring all commercial managers and KAs are making a correct forecast (measure by SFA) and ensure right inventories in Diageo & Modern Trade.
Ensure effective commercial activities give input about customer insight, commercial activation and business intelligence are included in planning to develop plans to deliver day to day volume and assemble commercial opportunities.
Lead investment of A&P BTL and Trade Spend in the trade according to the plan for each channel and shopper Marketing
Analyse Nielsen and market volume reports to find insights and conclusions for Reserve performance (weekly and monthly base)
Coordinates special packs and creates/complete in-store/outlet visibility solutions and support materials to drive brilliant execution in the POS, focusing on channel needs and execution guidelines.
Performs regular trade (weekly) visits to find opportunities and provide solutions to drive incremental sales.
Ensures full compliance with CARM, Diageo Code of Conduct and DMC or equivalent experience.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree required in Business or related field.
English and Spanish required.
5 years' experience in Marketing/Sales or Customer Marketing - ideally including exposure to a Field Sales and or Account Management environment.
Adequate commercial understanding of local trade environment and channel specifics
Good communicator who is able to influence and engage the various stakeholders
Good commercial understanding, P&L literacy, strong numerical skills, a high level of computer literacy and previous experience of financial/data are important.
Capacity to drive many projects at the same time and influence on key stakeholders, building the future and capitalize opportunities
