This role is hands-on, people-focused, and deeply influential. Spending close to half your time on the shop floor, you'll coach teams, reinforce standards, and champion a strong safety, quality and problem-solving culture. You'll own performance across SQPCDM metrics, balancing daily execution with longer-term improvements that lift productivity, compliance and asset care. With your passion for developing people and driving continuous improvement, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our site's operational excellence.
What does this role look like for you?
Lead daily packaging and Bulkstore operations to deliver against AOP targets, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable execution of all production plans across shifts.
Champion Safety, Quality, and Compliance, ensuring all activities meet or exceed HSE, GMP, ISO, HACCP, FSSC, and Diageo GRMS requirements while fostering a zero-harm culture.
Develop and inspire high-performing teams through coaching, capability building, and structured performance management aligned to the Site Capability Framework. Be a culture change champion for our manufacturing team.
Own weekly and monthly production planning cycles, partnering with Supply Planning to optimise line scheduling, resolve constraints, and maximise operational throughput.
Drive continuous improvement and loss reduction, leading systemic problem-solving, Lean/CI initiatives, and breakthrough projects that reduce COGS, waste, and downtime.
Strengthen operational governance and standards, ensuring consistent deployment of MMS practices and a robust daily/weekly performance management rhythm.
Embed asset care excellence, partnering with Engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability, support planned maintenance, and minimise unplanned downtime.
What will you bring to the table?
Proven leadership experience in an FMCG or beverage production environment, with at least 3+ years in a team leader or managerial role.
Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools, with a track record of driving measurable operational improvements.
Demonstrated ability to make sound, data-informed decisions in a fast-paced production setting, balancing safety, quality, and delivery priorities.
High level of systems capability, ideally with exposure to SAP, MMS, or similar manufacturing execution and planning systems.
Excellent people leadership skills, with experience building capability, managing performance, and leading teams through change.
Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and embed new ways of working that lift productivity, compliance, and culture.
