Department Summary
The Wireless Reporting & Optimization (RIO) team within the Billing & Credit (B&C) department is responsible for supporting DISH’s wireless enterprise with process automation, data flows, maintaining and enhancing the department website, and analytical dashboards. The RIO team focuses on providing robust solutions for its internal customers by fulfilling requests for data, web based department tools, Tableau dashboards, and completing ad hoc projects. RIO provide this operational support to all the Wireless teams in the department and to some teams in other departments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze, identify, design, and implement processes and systems enhancements to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks, procedures, and reports.
Develop and maintain functionalities and features of in-house, self-service, web based, custom applications.
Provide user support and troubleshoot technical issues.
Complete ad-hoc projects in a timely and accurate manner to provide actionable data.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), fully understand processes and their impact on the overall business.
Assist in the completion of projects and use discretion to determine the methods needed to meet established goals.
Understand high-level business operations and dependencies.
Act as a consultant for internal customers to ensure the ideal end product.
Set and meet deadlines appropriate for support of larger business initiatives.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Information Systems, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a closely related field. Combination of at least three years professional experience as a developer with other bachelor’s or master’s degree also acceptable.
Possess full stack developer skills by being proficient in multiple coding languages: C#, HTML/Razor, Javascript/jQuery, and CSS.
Be able to develop applications in Python.
Familiar with Web API C# application development.
Accustomed to version control using GitLab.
Strong SQL skills writing complex queries in multiple syntaxes.
Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, processing, and database management.
Experience with data cleaning and blending multiple data sources using ETL tools such as SSIS.
Experience working in Visual Studio or VS Code.
SQL Server admin experience a plus.
A plus if familiar with AWS services: S3, EC2, SageMaker, Glue.
Exposure to VBA
Salary Range
Compensation: $65,800.00/Year - $94,000.00/Year
