The Analyst/ Developer role is responsible for managing several programs that are critical to the success of Direct Sales, the National Sales Partner and National Accounts sales channels, Customer Retention, and DISH Movers. This is a role with significant responsibility, as these business units handle many of the most important interactions (beginning, middle, and end) our customers’ have with DISH. With this responsibility comes an opportunity for significant growth in both skillset and business knowledge. The analyst/developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reporting to drive performance of the business units mentioned above. This duty includes producing ad hoc reporting for senior leadership and recurring reporting that has an audience of many levels within DISH. As time allows, the analyst will explore new datasets to ferret out actionable business insights, always keeping a lookout for opportunities to utilize advanced analytics tools to derive more insight from the data. The analyst will become an advocate for data-driven decision making and will be responsible for maintaining data integrity from the initial raw data to the publication of insight and recommendations for senior leadership.
The ideal individual for this role has the energy and intelligence to think critically, learn quickly, and be able to combine data analytics with business acumen.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Locate and weave together data sources, validate the accuracy of the data, and build reporting for all levels of management within the sales and retention teams.
Develop, manage, and monitor reports and dashboards in Tableau to ensure data quality and assist with data validation
Design and implement reporting alerts to monitor for unforeseen spikes, dips, or trend changes in key business metrics
Analyze and interpret trends in metrics to make recommendations for business improvement
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide clear and concise communication with a wide audience of internal departments
Collaborate with multiple business units to provide a deep technical understanding of the data that drives performance
Perform special projects, research, analysis, and presentations at the request of senior DISH leadership
Skills, Experience and Requirements
BA/BS in a business or STEM field (information systems, math, finance, accounting) and 2+ years of experience
Proven initiative; motivated self-starter with ‘can-do attitude’
Tableau and SQL skills required; Python and/or Scripting experience a plus ● ETL/Automation experience a plus
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; familiar with relational database concepts
Attention to detail
Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
Ready and excited to learn and continue to develop professional talents and skills that will enable growth into future positions within the organization
Salary Range
Compensation: $65,800.00/Year - $94,000.00/Year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
