Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing data engineering team and build out the next generation of our platform. The ideal candidate is hands-on experience in developing scalable data platforms. We’re looking for someone with experience in programming languages like Java and Python.  They must have technical expertise in a variety of configuration management and advanced technologies for scalable solutions that can manage large data sets. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development.

This position will be fully on-site in Englewood, CO.  We do offer re-location assistance.

• 2-3 years of experience in an object-oriented language or similar for software development (Java, Python, JavaScript)
• Expertise in SQL
• Solid knowledge of data modeling, schema design, processing, and database management
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Experience with orchestration (Airflow, Kubernetes, CRON)
• Knowledge of certain framework and software: RxJava, Vert.x, React,  Nodes.js, Docker, Git version control, jenkins, ELK Stack, AWS, Kafka
• 2-3 years of expertise in Linux based OS/programming environment
• Hands on experience of microservices 
• Help Analyzing product requirements and solution design
• Write and test codes, refining and rewriting it as necessary and communicate with any programmers involved in the project
• Experience maintaining production-level code with quality management including optimization, performance analysis, unit/acceptance tests, and test automation suites
• Provide ongoing maintenance support and enhancement in existing systems and platforms
• Strong experience working with database like MySQL

Skills, Experience and Requirements

• Hand on experience of Agile development methodologies for effective software development 
• Software Automation experience in continuous integration/development cycle
• Effective communication skills both oral and written
• A team player and capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
• Experience with test driven development and automated testing framework

Salary Range

Compensation: $79,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
