    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    In coordination with the National Development team, the Director, 5G Sourcing & Vendor Management will be responsible for leading and managing the strategic sourcing of goods and services in support of DISH’s needs, and the contractual vendor relationships.This position requires experience in sourcing in the Telecom/IT sectors and executive communication skills as the Director, 5G Sourcing & Vendor Management will be responsible for interfacing with senior executives regularly. This person will also recommend and set procurement strategies/priorities along with other supply chain leaders, in support of DISH’s Sourcing and Procurement Strategic Plan.The Director, 5G Sourcing & Vendor Management is also accountable for providing oversight of processes and best practices to improve organizational efficiencies and effectiveness. This position will ensure consistency in approach and quality and depth of analysis during the procurement and contracts management process.

    Responsibilities 

    • Manage a team of category managers within the company’s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending. 

    • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies. 

    • Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.

    • Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.

    • Implement Contract Management Policies & Governance to support the business.

    • Implement full leverage of our CLM tools and develop strategies to implement additional tools.

    • Partner with stakeholders to guarantee the well-functioning of the Supply ChainPerform cost scenario analysis, and benchmarking.

    • Focus on continual improvement in the speed, quality, and simplicity of contract formation and management processes, without compromising compliance.

    • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with vendors at all levels of their organizations.

    • Contribute to long-term business goals based on strategic targets.

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    • BA in Finance, Technology, Procurement, Supply Chain and/or Business; MBA preferred.

    • 10+ years of strong technical sourcing negotiations in the Telecom and IT sectors.

    • Experience with Source to Pay processes implementation is a similar environment.

    • Team player with a strong executive presence and proven collaborative and productive partnerships with internal leaders and vendors at all levels of the organization.

    • Excellent negotiator with knowledge of Strategic Sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors) RFX and strong legal commercial redlining ability experience of security & privacy concerns.

    • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication with solid negotiation skills.

    Salary Range

    Compensation: $150,000.00/Year - $225,000.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
