Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor enterprise systems leveraging Big Data Framework
- Monitoring data pipelines
- Work with the development team on production defects fixes
- Job will require shift working hours (24/7)
Desired Skills
- Engineering degree with 4 - 7 years of experience in operation
- Experience in advanced java programming with sound knowledge in shell scripting. Specifically, monitoring Big Data data engineering jobs.
- SQL experience using Hive/Impala framework including SQL performance tuning
- Experience in doing production support for Big data pipelines, MapReduce framework, Oozie workflows and scoop Jobs and external schedulers such as Autosys/Control-M.
- Experience in AWS services such as EMR, Glue, S3, Athena, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda, Cloud watch
- Good Communication skills – written and verbal with the ability to understand and interact with the diverse range of stakeholders
- Candidates should be able to work without much supervision.
