Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH is seeking a Facilities Associate to join our team who will provide facilities-related support for various events such as meetings, off-site events and other departmental requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily site inspections of the facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation and condition

• Perform preventive maintenance to building systems and equipment as assigned and create

• Equipment check sheets as requested

• Provide a report to the Facilities Engineer/Supervisor notifying any problems found

• Perform electrical repairs, such as replacing lamps, ballasts, switches, receptacles, cord caps

• Wiring of single and three-phase motors, and installation of circuits

• Perform administrative duties which include but are not limited to creating and closing work requests using the Computer Automated Facilities Maintenance program

• Provide support to engineering projects and installations

• Assist in office furniture reconfigurations, furniture moves, and office moves as requested

• Ability to work various hours and respond to after-hours emergency requests

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience: 1-3 years of related experience within a manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred; or

equivalent combination of education and experience 

Skills:

• Basic but proven experience with a variety of trades in the maintenance of commercial office space such as the operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and life safety equipment supporting a 24/7 operation
• Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment with limited resources
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and obtain a driver's license

Working Conditions:

• On call 24x7

• Will be able to sit, stand, crawl, and climb ladders for extended periods

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

• Will be able to work in all-weather environments, indoors, and outdoors

• Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work

Salary Range

Compensation: $https://18.00/Hour - $https://26.00/Hour

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
