Job Duties and Responsibilities

Dish Accounting is looking for a highly motivated Fixed Assets Senior Accountant. The Fixed Asset team is responsible for Fixed Assets and Leased Assets for Dish Satellite TV, Sling TV, Boost Mobile and the next-gen 5G wireless network buildout. Our purpose is to safeguard company assets and produce timely, accurate and meaningful financial information to facilitate management decision making and to comply with external reporting requirements. In addition to managing the month-to-month financial aspects, we provide accounting support to other departments, design and implement new systems to create efficiencies, and develop strategies for executing on new business lines and acquisitions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting services for a variety of company entities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for upper management

• Present financial results monthly and quarterly to upper management

• Develop solutions to capture financial data for unique business transactions

• Daily and month end processing responsibilities primarily related to Satellite Television and Streaming Television operations

• Collaborate with individuals throughout the organization with an emphasis on sharing information

• Plan and manage the execution of physical inventories of Fixed Assets at various DISH facilities

• Continually review processes in order to create efficiencies

• Other responsibilities as assigned

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Minimum required skills / experience:

• A working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures of accounting (including Journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, US GAAP, SOX, SEC Reporting)
• Inherent curiosity and eagerness to learn complex and ever-evolving businesses
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, work independently and meet deadlines; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Advanced computer skills in Excel and experience using Oracle Financials a plus
• Communicates ideas confidently and clearly; effectively communicates with other team members

Minimum education required:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university (preferably Accounting) plus minimum of 3 years related experience

Salary Range

Compensation: $57,400.00/Year - $82,000.00/Year
