Job Duties and Responsibilities

As the Head of Demand Planning, you will lead and guide our supply chain forecasting, ensuring customer demand is in alignment with production and inventory strategies. Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development and execution of demand forecasting strategies to ensure accurate predictions of customer demand across product lines.

  • Utilize historical data, market insights, and statistical models to refine forecasting techniques and enhance accuracy.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to incorporate market trends, promotions, and new product launches into demand forecasts.

  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance, to gather inputs for demand forecasts and ensure alignment of goals.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) teams to integrate demand and supply planning processes effectively.

  • Drive continuous improvement of demand planning processes and tools to increase accuracy, efficiency, and agility.

  • Implement best practices in demand planning, incorporating advanced analytics and automation to streamline processes.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Inventory Management teams to ensure optimal inventory levels while meeting service level targets.

  • Develop inventory replenishment strategies that balance demand fluctuations, production capabilities, and lead times.

  • Analyze demand patterns, historical data, and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges, making data-driven recommendations.

  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to communicate demand forecasts, trends, and performance metrics to senior management.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of demand planners, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.

  • Provide guidance, support, and performance evaluations to ensure team members meet their goals.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and customer service levels.

  • Develop action plans to address any discrepancies and continuously improve forecasting accuracy.

  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and tools in demand planning and implement solutions that enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

To excel as a Head of Demand Planning, the following attributes are vital:

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable four-year college or university in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in demand forecasting, supply planning or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and demand forecasting techniques, using tools like Excel, statistical software, and demand planning systems.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of demand planning, inventory management, supply chain processes, and production scheduling
  • Experience with demand planning software and ERP systems. Knowledge of supply planning tools preferred
  •  Experience in managing transitions, whether it's implementing a new demand planning strategy, software, or changes in process, ensuring that these transitions are smooth and are met with minimal resistance from stakeholders.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and budgeting processes.
  • Familiarity with Supply and Demand planning systems, including but not limited to SAP, Kinaxis, o9, and Anaplan, is highly desirable
  • An ability to be located in Denver, as an in-office presence is mandatory to foster collaboration and engagement.

Desired skills / experience:

  • Experience in the wireless industry, underlining your understanding of its intricacies and market dynamics.

Compensation: $115,https://500.00/Year - $165,https://000.00/Year
