    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    As the Head of VAS Delivery, you will make strong contributions to the product and feature delivery process by leading a cross-functional team to develop frameworks and methodologies, and deliver best-in-class product solutions for revenue generating and non-revenue generating wireless device based applications and services.

    You will:

    • Develop processes to connect application and service development efforts with delivery through wireless devices
    • Lead the VAS team directly or indirectly, inclusive of training/mentoring junior staff and defining processes to align application and service requirements with DISH capability development;
    • Contribute to the Retail Wireless Product team to validate VAS from concept through production and work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class capabilities to DISH customers.

    In this role, you will:

    • Implement product management and delivery related elements of VAS and other strategic programs with internal stakeholders and device OEMs;

    • Support escalations and VAS related inquiries on a day-to-day basis; engage the appropriate teams to resolve Tier 3 production issues and provide direction to the organization on delivery requirements for device OEMs

    • Lead product management and VAS development teams through daily activities such as securing product specifications, certifying VAS on new products and software releases prior to launch, and ensuring compliance for new product introduction and go-to-market activities;

    • Lead execution of new VAS trials and feature deployments for all devices, including maintaining secure testing facilities, identifying and sourcing necessary test equipment, and executing relevant test activities;

    • Consolidate the list of VAS configurations (e.g., network parameters, device service configurations) and coordinate with product managers and device OEMs for integration into software releases;

    • Define capital budgets for VAS related Retail Wireless Product Development initiatives;

    • Serve as internal subject matter expert on VAS capabilities and roadmap for DISH stakeholder organizations (e.g., sales, marketing, care, network, technology, retail wireless).

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    A Successful Head of VAS Delivery will have:

    • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business (or equivalent);

    • 10+ years of experience in VAS development for networks, smartphones and tablets including product configuration, feature and offering integration, new product introduction and lifecycle management;

    • 10+ years of experience in mobile network and/or device certification processes including industry-leading practices (e.g. regulatory requirements, standards roadmaps);

    • Six or more years of team leadership including direct resource management and team direction;

    • Prior experience with VAS development and launch, required.

    Salary Range

    Compensation: $133,000.00/Year - $218,500.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
