Job Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for creating a positive and collaborative culture for a team of NOC Engineers and Supervisors that support the DISH Wireless Network in a 24x7 environment. You will have a direct impact on the results of the team by actively identifying and removing roadblocks to their overall success. You will provide valuable input into the overall design, implementation, and improvement of the various platforms for Incident detection, triage, troubleshooting, and communication. You will partner closely with the various operations and engineering teams to ensure a clear alignment of policies and processes with the overall goal of reducing the duration of network and service-impacting events. You will use data and your experience to help guide the NOC’s continual process improvements in workflow and network automation to eliminate operator errors and drive DISHWireless to having an industry-leading service and network availability.
In this role, you will:
Manage a team of 12-15 Engineers
Proactively identify and resolve roadblocks towards the success of all NOC Personnel
Manage Business Processes, ensuring they align with the organization and company objectives
Develop operational metrics that provide insight into the NOC performance and help identify areas of improvement in the tools, processes, and/or team
Handle escalations and manage the support needs from internal and external teams
Provide insight and expertise in the Tools, Monitoring, and Automation strategy
Ensure the NOC Personnel are trained on all processes and procedures, and any changes are thoroughly documented and communicated
Ensure all network-related impacts are handled effectively and escalated within a timely manner to reduce the duration of impact
The NOC operates 24x7 so support hours outside of the normal work working may be required, including on-call support

Skills, Experience and Requirements
As a Manager of Network Operations, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science or a mix of related experience and education
7+ years of related experience including 5+ years of experience managing technology-focused NOC teams
5+ years of experience working within the Wireless industry on either the carrier or vendor side of the house
5+ of experience leading engineers in a 24x7 NOC shift environment
Technical background in one or more of the following areas: 4G/5G Networks, Radio Access Networks (RAN), ISP Data, Voice, and/or Transport Networks, Optical Networks (DWDM, CWDM), PaaS/Cloud Engineering Support (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, Etc), or Virtualized Networks (VMWare)
Salary Range
Compensation: $87,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
