    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    DISH Wireless is seeking a Senior Engineer of Vendor Management to join our NOC team in Littleton, CO. We are seeking individuals experienced in managing vendors from an incident management perspective. This person will resolve and escalate problems and bugs with the vendors and help to streamline processes. 

    In this role, you will:

    • Manage and escalate incidents with external vendor relations within the Wireless 5G Operations teams
    • Perform as functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders
    • Coordinate all vendor incident management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors and internal employees
    • Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing vendor monitoring are being accomplished
    • Help and coordinate vendor processes for change management
    • Ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance in accordance with established SLAs
    • Troubleshoot all vendor problems and prioritize and escalate as needed
    • Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions
    • Identify and implement continuously enhanced efficiencies associated with vendor management 
    • Participate in the formulation of workflow processes, methods and policies for vendor interactions
    • Prepare and manage processes for analysis, selection and transition of new vendors
    • Monitor contractual agreements for all vendors.
    • Prepare KPIs for vendor performance and incident management

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    As a Senior Vendor Engineer, you will have:

    • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience.

    • 5+ years of experience in a vendor management role

    • 3+ years’ experience in a NOC, highly desired 

    • 5+ years of experience working within the Wireless industry on either the carrier or vendor side of the house

    • Experience leading the management of vendor initiatives with a focus on bug and defect management

    • Ability to collaborate with different types of vendors

    • Ability to work across geographies and regulatory environments

    • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

    • Well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both oral and written

    • Excellent analytical skills

    • Proven success in performance analysis and vendor contract/SLA management

    • Able to identify, analyze and resolve problems

    • Strong quantitative analysis skills (with advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills) and use of data to make decisions and to influence others

    • Willing and eager to roll up your sleeves and get to know the business at the lowest level of detail

    • Experience performance managing, coaching, and improving the metrics of external-facing service teams

    • Understanding of regulatory compliance standards in telecom

    • Team player with the ability to also work independently with minimum direction

    Salary Range

    Compensation: $87,500.00/Year - $125,000.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline.
