    Position summary

    Department Summary

    The Billing and Credit department supports the needs of DISH subscribers, agents, installers, and external departments by providing up front analysis for enterprise releases and projects. The department also provides support for back office operations and processes. The department is comprised of multiple facets with specific focus on targeted operational objectives that include, but are not limited to: 

    • Billing Accuracy 

    • Credit Qualification 

    •  Customer Payments 

    • Customer Delinquency, Collections, and Bankruptcy 

    • Customer Installation Damage Claims 

    •  Third Party Provider Payments 

    • Fraud and Revenue Assurance

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Wireless Payments team is responsible for managing day to day operations for DISH Wireless payments, refunds, chargebacks, payment performance analysis, and vendor relationships. The role of a Program Manager will include gathering and reviewing requirements, auditing, analyzing customer accounts, networking with the enterprise on projects, communicating to senior management, managing vendor relationships, and performing incident management. 

    Responsibilities: 

    • Maintain the Wireless Payment’s teams daily operations around projects and incident tickets

    • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and fully understand processes and their impact on the overall business; analyze, identify, and implement potential process and systems enhancements to create efficiencies; assist in the completion of projects and using discretion to determine the methods to meet established goals

    • Coordinate and manage all Release related activities for the organization from a Billing and Credit department and payments perspective; identify impacts of enterprise projects to the payment’s team to ensure a smooth transition and understanding of new functionalities

    • Ability to manage several projects for the team at one time & able to work cross-functionally to move projects forward from origination to deployment

    • Work closely with Retail Wireless teams to keep a well-defined scope and ensure projects stay on track for the determined deployment dates

    • Quickly communicate and determine resolution plan with vendors when issues arise and work with internal IT & operational teams to understand scope and impact of incident tickets and work quickly to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner

    • Communicate updates, issues and resolutions to senior leadership across multiple departments related to payment’s projects and releases

    • Evaluate business needs and develop/establish Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)

    • Identify potential opportunities for process improvement and report automation using various methods, i.e. databases, spreadsheets, external data sources, IT development, and execute changes to systems with little or no impact

    • Communicate suggestions for process improvements through summaries, reports and presentations and be able to present to team manager and departmental leadership

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    A successful Program Manager I will have the following:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics, and at least two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Experience in Project and/or Release Management preferred

    • Experience in payment processing (merchant, gateway, processor, or issuing bank)

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and work with

    • Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP functions, and exposure to Macro

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Google suite

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Salary Range

    Compensation: $57,400.00/Year - $82,000.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
