    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Utilize your project and people management skills to deliver high quality projects on time, on budget and with unwavering professionalism. This includes planning the project, resourcing the project with internal team members and third-party contractors or consultants, managing internal and client driven processes and procedures, project schedules, deliverables, and quality to successful completion and implementation. 

    In this role, you will: 

    • Analyze current processes and procedures to make recommendations to promote effective operations within and between departments. 
    • Coach business units through analysis and documentation that includes requirements, risks, issues, project schedule and meeting agendas 
    • Help develop processes that focus on deployment efficiency, quality of customer experience and risk mitigation 
    • Manage and assemble teams responsible for the development and implementation of cross-functional teams, vendors, and services focused on delivering new or existing projects
    • Identify appropriate resources and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
    • Understand project objectives and functions of each team member to ensure success
    • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
    • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle 
    • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project 

    Expectations 

    • 30 Days: Meet and learn from the various DISH Business teams to understand each of their roles and responsibilities. Introduction to corporate resources such as IT PMO, development groups, etc. Co-manage projects with the manager to understand how DISH facilitates projects. Participate in various joint planning sessions, team meetings, and scoping discussions. 

    • 60 Days: Continue to learn from various teams to ensure we are delivering sufficient solutions. Begin to manage your own portfolio of projects, including owning projects from start to finish. Lead various joint planning sessions, team meetings, scoping, and discussions. 

    • 90 Days: Transition to owning DISH Business projects independently, which includes running the weekly Project Review and Intake meeting and training stakeholders how to generate project requests including requirements. Identify opportunities within our current PM process to improve efficiency.

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    Qualifications 

    • Ability to leverage communication skills effectively across every level of the company, particularly with c-suite executives to build reputation as subject matter expert
    • Experience facilitating technical meetings and collaborating with others to brainstorm and implement valuable solutions
    • Traditional/Waterfall Project Management background and education required.
    • A working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and Project/Release Management
    • CAPM, PMP, Risk, Change Management or equivalent certification preferred
    • Proficiency with Google Suite products, Visio, ClickUp, Rally

    Experience 

    • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Project Management

    • 2-5 years in traditional/waterfall project management

    • Broad technical understanding of various operational systems in the telecom environment

    • Experience with business and project management tools and procedures

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills to include the ability to interact effectively with internal and external business partners including senior executives

    • Self starter, excited to learn and develop professional talents and skills that will enable career growth opportunities within the organization

    • Highly flexible and able to work well under pressure

    Salary Range

    Compensation: $65,800.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
