Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key areas of responsibility for the Programming Manager include but are not limited to:  

• Drive DISH’s negotiations with content partners for content acquisition and renewals

• Participate in all aspects of deal negotiations, including financial analysis, term sheet drafting, and contract negotiation

• Evaluate and lead contractual analysis of our programming agreements

• Manage and maintain all finances, including the budget, for all local broadcast stations

• Proactive analysis of the latest trends in Media and Pay TV industries to drive internal content strategy and identify business opportunities

Skills, Experience and Requirements

A successful Programming Manager will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university. A background in finance is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable communicating with senior management; capability to build and maintain strong internal and external business relationships
• Experience managing direct employees as well as cross-functional projects
• Detail oriented with ability to review and analyze a large volume of quantitative and qualitative data (Excel skills considered an advantage); ability to think creatively and independently as well as collaboratively
• Experience or demonstrated interest in the pay-TV industry

Salary Range

Compensation: $87,500.00/Year - $140,000.00/Year
