    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    DISH Wireless is looking for an RF Engineer II based in their local market. Engineers will report to the local RF Engineering Manager and work with other local cross functional teams within the market.

     Primary responsibilities include (but may vary as needed): 

    • Perform RF Performance and Optimization activities related to monitoring and optimizing the first standalone 5G broadband network in the US.

    • Hands-On Experience on Radio Optimization of LTE/VoLTE/5G networks in troubleshooting and improving KPIS.

    • Analysis of neighbor relations and implementations of corrections.

    • Perform root-cause analysis of RF issues to meet target KPIS for VONR Accessibility, Retainability, Mobility, Throughput.

    • Perform regular audits on PCI, Neighbors, Golden Parameters and fix the discrepancies.

    • Recommend parameter changes to improve performance and prepare status reports.

    • Implementation of new RAN features and tuning the RAN database parameters.

    • Idle and Dedicated Mode Mobility Management.

    • PDCCH, PUCCH, UL/DL PC, throughput latency optimization.

    • Support the team to use best Method for both fetching reports and dumps with daily optimizing tasks.

    • Daily KPI monitoring and identifying the TOP Offenders and work on them.

    • Analyzing the Drive test reports with L3 messages and identifying the problems.

    • Work as Lead for drive testing, ATP testing, 911 testing teams.

    • Work unsupervised  with limited or no supervision

    • Coach and review the work of lower level professionals

    • Independently identify and implement site specific technical issues

    • Knowledge how to run scripts and create macros is desired.

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    The ideal RF Engineer II will have:

    • BSEE/BSCS degree and/or at least 5+ years of relevant RF performance and optimization on 5G/LTE working experience, and 3+ years good work experience on 5G/LTE KPI Monitoring and Optimization

    • Cellular/Mobile Technology proficiency in 4G/5G and NR theory and practical experience

    • Expertise in RF optimization tools like XCAP/ACTIX/Windcatcher and DT measurement tools.

    • Full proficiency in setting up, calibration, utilization and data processing of various LTE/5G design and optimization equipment and software

    • Team player with good communication skills and positive attitude.

    • Ability to identify gaps/issues and create/propose new processes to improve the network performance

    • Must be self starter and ability to perform at a proficiency level of all the above mentioned skills

    Salary Range

    Compensation: $75,600.00/Year - $108,000.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline.
