Senior Cloud Network Engineer

oking for experienced network professionals to join DISH's Wireless 5G Network Engineering Team that is engineering and building the Cloud Infrastructure supporting our 5G Packet Core. The Network Engineer will join a team of other passionate engineers and bring a start-up spirit to design, evaluate, test, deploy, and optimize DISH's future standalone 5G network. The candidate should also be innovative, analytical, a planner, have strong execution skills, and have the ability to learn, teach, and work in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, engineer, and manage scalable network systems.

• Support evaluation, testing, and deployment for a nationwide network buildout.

• Act as an escalation point for complex network issues, performing in-depth analysis and remediation under tight timelines to maintain service continuity and meet SLAs.

• Ensure solutions meet standards, assisting in standards development as needed.

• Communicate solutions effectively with detailed high/low-level diagrams and documentation.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred

• 5+ years of professional experience in large enterprise or cloud space

Skills and Qualifications:

• Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCIE; AWS Advanced Networking preferred.

• Advanced skills in network monitoring and performance tools, especially for cloud infrastructure.

• Strong commitment to process improvement and customer satisfaction

• Strong foundation in virtual routers and cloud networking (e.g., AWS Transit Gateway/VPC).

• Expertise in load balancing, DNS, and Anycast solutions.

• Expertise in cloud network automation in AWS, Transit Gateway, Lambda, and Route 53.

• Proficient with multi-tier VPC architectures, Hybrid Cloud Networking, NLB/ALBs, firewalls, Direct Connect, VPN.

• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation, Terraform, and networking protocols (TCP, UDP, BGP, OSPF).

• Solid understanding of the routing protocols,IPv4 and IPv6 Networking,Cisco IOS, IOS-XR.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year
