Senior Engineer

1. Support RAN/ORAN deployment in specific markets/regions ensuring teams are aware of schedules and provide technical guidance to Field Operations teams.

2. Troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate with other engineering teams to resolve issues.

3. Provides lead support with Market Teams to troubleshoot/resolve complex issues with deployed RF and RAN systems.

4. Track issues in the ticketing system, provide root cause analysis, provide recommendations to reduce/eliminate repeat issues.

5. Engages and escalates issues with ORAN development team when critical/time sensitive support and resolution is needed.

6. In coordination with Central ORAN Engineering team(s), develops key metrics for

         performance monitoring and service assurance.

1. Produces operational MOPs for local markets.

2. Communicates/educates Field Operations teams on ORAN technical elements used for Optimization and service changes.

3. Coordinates/communicates with Markets on system/service changes and updates.

4. Ensures technical documentation is maintained/updated by Market.

5. This position may provide on-call support on a rotational basis.

Qualifications:

1. Extensive understanding in 5G ORAN split functions (7-2x, RU, DU, CU, CP, UP…)

2. Extensive understanding and experience in RAN/vRAN/ORAN software architectures in a virtualized environment.

3. Extensive understanding of RF Radio operations over eCPRI interfaces. Includes CSR, DU and timing configurations.

4. Extensive understanding of software systems/services running virtualized/cloud

        environments.

1. Understanding of Data Center environments and network architecture.

2. Understanding and experience with virtualized networks, orchestration and automation across a large network architecture.

3. Thorough understanding of vRAN/ORAN architecture described in 3GPP standards (Rel 15 & 16).

4. BS or MS in Engineering or technical degree or an equivalent combination of highly related experience and education.

5. 10+ years experience in the wireless industry

6. Excellent computer skills with Microsoft products, Project, remote access systems

       (SecureCRT…) as well as database tools.

3. Able to accomplish goals by working professionally with others in a team environment.

4. Has a passion for working on new technologies in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment.

5. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization through

         conventional methods (verbal and written).

1. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with technical and non-technical teams.

2. This position requires working with a computer (keyboard/mouse), telephone, and portable devices.

3. This position will support 24/7 operations on a rotating basis.

4. This position will support a specific region with 6-10 Markets.

5. This position may require 50% travel supporting Market Operations.

6. Other duties may be assigned as required
