Senior Engineer - Wireless sought by DISH Wireless LLC in Littleton, CO.
Design solutions of the Messaging network functions in a cloud-native environment. Participate in the investigation of innovative 5G technologies to improve the network virtualization infrastructure. Deploy and support Messaging network functions across a cutting-edge cloud native standalone 5G network. Engage with vendor personnel at Nokia and Mavenir to set up new services and features as well as upgrades. Lead other engineers within the team to provide technical guidance and knowledge of the networks in various functional areas. Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing while staying abreast of new technology/technical areas.
Job requirements**:**
Requires: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a closely related field plus 4 years of experience working within the Wireless industry on either the carrier or vendor side of the house. Also requires 4 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
- 5G technical background in Packet Core.
- 3GPP SMS, MMS, SMPP GW and SMSF call flow.
- TCP/IP networking and TCP, UDP, SCTP, GTP, RADIUS, Mobile IP, SIP, Diameter protocols, and 5G interfaces.
- Virtualized 3GPP Mobile Packet Core Network.
- Cloud Native environment with technologies such as AWS, OpenStack, VMWare, KVM or EKS.
- Containers and relevant technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker or Openshift.
- DevOps and CI/CD methodology, Python scripting, bash, Tcl.
- Protocol Analysis, Wireshark, NetScout, RADCOM or other similar tools.
- End to End testing of Messaging call flow and leading troubleshooting initiatives for lab and production issues
