Position Summary
The Manager,NOC Advanced Operations (RAN) will be responsible for service operations of mobility core, IMS network, messaging and voicemail solutions deployed. The person will be responsible for customers, administration and maintenance from the mobility core operations perspective with minimal supervision.
Able to lead advanced operations function for RAN and PaaS and manage the network.
Build a team of core subject matter experts for N/W performance analysis, Technical CAB, outage resolution, root cause analysis, feeding AI/ML and automation workflow requirements. Ensuring the smooth operation of the network.
Ensure services delivery central NOC and regional operation for preventive and corrective maintenance.
Handle internal, external and customer problem escalations and follow-ups as well as process adherence.
External: interface with OEMs and vendors for technical issue resolution.
Internal: prime Interface with CARE, IWR and Engineering OPs for planning and coordination.
Drive resolutions for customer complaints within service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure effective operational performance and management.
Drive automation for MTTR reduction and resource optimization.
Complete overarching technical oversight for managing CM/FM/PM team.
Observe and analyze KPIs and carry out necessary changes for optimum N/W performance.
Assure that the operated network meets the agreed assurance KPIs and SLA.
Manage outage and emergencies.
Handle team expansion, people management, resource planning, recruitment and appraisals.
Ensure the delivery of customer service excellence.
Excellent understanding and experience in C-RAN, V-RAN software architectures in a virtualized environment. Good knowledge on ORAN Architecture, CUSM (Control plane, User plane, Synchronization plane & Management plane), eCPRI / CRPI, PTP, SyncE, Netconf, YANG etc.
Extensive understanding of RF Radio operations over eCPRI interfaces. Includes CSR, DU and timing configurations.
Extensive understanding of software systems/services running virtualized O-RAN functions.
Understanding of latency considerations and issues from gNB to Data Center locations.
Understanding and experience with virtualized networks, orchestration and automation across a large network architecture.
Basic understanding of any tool should be advantage Solarwind, Datadog, mCMS, NetAct, Rakuten, Sevone.
Analyzing User/System level traces and decode them as per the requirements
Bachelor/Master's degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 10-15 years' experience in using relevant networking protocols.
Solid understanding and experience in 5G ORAN split functions (7-2x, RU, DU, CUCP, CUUP)
Thorough understanding of RAN/O-RAN architecture described in 3GPP standards (Rel 15 & 16)
RAN Integration and Commissioning experience.
Previous experience as a MS head or related experience
Fluent in verbal and written English.
