Senior RF Engineer sought by DISH Wireless, LLC in Oklahoma City, OK. Perform RF design activities related to building the first standalone 5G broadband network in the US. Optimize the end-to-end RF design, propagation modeling and prediction, for deployment of Macro Cell deployment. Determine equipment and power configurations. Work with eNB/RAN and UE teams on RF solutions including modifications to RF link budgets on a per site level basis to meet operations requirements. Perform site candidate evaluation and selection as well as site walks. Work with RF Management to establish design criteria, link budget and traffic analysis as needed for network design and update existing performance parameters for ongoing improvements as required. Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals. Establish and maintain operational plans that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results. Develop solutions to complex RF Engineering issues that require the use of ingenuity and innovation.
Job requirements:
Requires Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Applications, or a closely related field plus 5 years of relevant post-baccalaureate LTE RF Design work experience in job offered or RF Engineer II/Engineer Network Engineering. Also requires 5 years of work experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
Providing RF support to Site Acquisition and Site Construction teams.
Cellular/Mobile Technology including 4G or 5G and NR theory.
Macro and small cell nominal and final RF designs including development, operations, RF KPIs, and maintenance of RF link budgets for 3GPP technologies.
Setting up, calibration, utilization and data processing of various LTE design and optimization equipment and software.
Using propagation/planning tools such as Planet or Atoll.
Using drive test data post-processing, map generation, frequency planning and interference matrix analysis and site database maintenance using Windcatcher/Actix/Accuver.
Equipment co-location requirements for multiple operators and performing inter-modulation and other external interference analysis.
25% domestic travel to Arkansas and in the Central Region.
Drug screen and background check required.
Rate of pay: $130,000.00
