We offer nationwide prepaid and postpaid retail wireless services to subscribers under our Boost Mobile, Ting Mobile, Republic Mobile and Gen Mobile brands, as well as a competitive portfolio of wireless devices. We are currently operating our retail wireless business unit as a mobile virtual network operator (“MVNO”) while we build our 5G broadband network. As of December 31, 2021, we had 9 million retail wireless subscribers. 

As we continue on our aggressive growth path, we need a Retail Wireless Senior Staff Accountant to help establish and improve processes as we scale our Retail Wireless business. The ideal candidate will be excited about a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that rewards innovation, proactivity, and teamwork. This is a hands-on position with direct access to Senior Management, and will play an important role in our success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of GAAP financial statements

• Present financial reports to accounting and business leadership

• Identify opportunities to automate current manual processes and improve utilization of technology and systems to create efficiencies within the accounting department.

• Prepare month end journal entries to ensure an accurate and timely close

• Record and track month-end accruals while keeping a monthly accrual roll forward

• Analyze, investigate and explain variances in monthly income statement and balance sheet

• Respond to financial inquires by gathering, analyzing, summarizing and interpreting data

• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain reconciliation sub ledger schedules

• Assist internal and external auditors during annual audits

• Other duties and responsibilities as necessary

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor and/or master’s degree(s) in accounting

• Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational and time management, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Oracle

• 1-2 years of progressive accounting or finance experience in growth companies

Salary Range

Compensation: $57,400.00/Year - $82,500.00/Year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
