As we continue on our aggressive growth path, we need a Wireless Senior General Ledger Accountant to help establish and improve processes as we deploy our America’s First Smart Network. The ideal candidate will be excited about a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that rewards innovation, proactivity, and teamwork. This is a hands-on position with direct access to Senior Management, and will play an important role in our success.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions and monthly close. Perform monthly close duties, including general journal entries, reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, and preparation of GAAP financial statements.
Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial statements and related management reporting, including variance explanations in the income statement and balance sheet.
Support teams across the business including external/internal audit, tax, finance, procurement, human resources, legal and operations.
Identify opportunities to automate current manual processes and improve utilization of technology and systems to create efficiencies within the accounting department.
Other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Inherent curiosity and eagerness to learn complex and ever-evolving businesses
Experience creating and implementing new accounting guidance and corresponding process development
Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational and time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, able to problem solve creatively and meet expanding business needs as circumstances require
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team setting in an often pivoting work environment and with effective cross-functional management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, great team player, attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement
Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Oracle a plus
Bachelor and/or master’s degree(s) in accounting
3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in growth companies
CPA, or equivalent qualification a plusLI-
