Job Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Staff Network Engineer with an RF, 5G and, preferably, U.S. military engineering background to join the Office of Innovation’s Tiger (Development) Team. The Staff Engineer will be responsible for the evaluation and development of numerous 5G and other projects from initiation through conclusion. He or she will also engage cross-organizationally with other DISH engineers to facilitate detailed technical planning. In addition, the Staff Engineer is expected to assist in the hiring of other staff as the Tiger Team grows in size and responsibility. This is an excellent position for someone who enjoys the challenge of development of a product to serve the organization writ large. In this role, you will:
Evaluate, develop and bring to a conclusion projects from within and without the organization;
Act as technical advisor to the Front Office
Become an expert in closed network and ORAN technologies
Lead efforts as a senior member of the Tiger Team, fomenting a team atmosphere and spirit.
Manage external and internal partner relationships to drive new capabilities and automations in the design, deployment, optimization and performance of 5G and other projects as directed;
Develop and share documentation on system testing activities such as feature validation, test description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation and problem troubleshooting;
Draft analytical papers and present concepts to executive leadership
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, preferrably from a U.S. military academy;
Specialization in a technical discipline related to 5G
Familiarity with Decentralized Wireless
7-10 years of experience in the wireless industry;
Advanced management skills, including strategic thinking, self-awareness and team focused leadership;
Mastery of wireless network architecture technologies, concepts and industry standards.
Salary Range
Compensation: $100,100.00/Year - $185,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
