Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for an innovative and passionate Technical Product Owner- Device and SIM Platform to help lead one or two software development teams that are helping build out the DISH 5G Wireless Network. The candidate chosen will lead development and implementation of Device and SIM Platforms which would be a subset of the broader OSS Sytems that support provisioning and configuration of all devices on DISH’s 5G SA Network.

Key responsibilities:

• Serving as a technical subject matter expert for cloud native products, promoting teamwork, relentlessly finding opportunities for improvement, and sharing knowledge.
• Developing an intimate understanding of customer needs and using this knowledge to guide product decisions with a concise vision, roadmap, and plan. 
• Creating and prioritizing wireless 5G features and user stories in the backlog so we can deploy quality full-stack software to customers every iteration.
• Managing all stakeholders (Product Management, Executive Leadership, Architects, UX) by understanding their unique needs in order to meet them.
• Ability to manage SaaS platforms (RSP, SIM-OTA, Device Management), as well as dozens of internally developed Microservices.
• Ability to work with global teams in developing and implementing software solutions including vendors, system integrators, and multi-disciplinary teams.

Work attire: Business casual

Working hours: This is a full-time position: 40 hours/week. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical degree.

Experience: 

• 3+ years of experience in software development using one or more of the following: Java, C++, Python, Go, Elixir, or JavaScript in a Unix/Linux environment.
• 5+ years of experience with feature and story creation, prioritization, and maturation as well as leading Agile teams of analysts, developers, testers, and configurators.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Product Owner or Technical Lead on an Agile software development team.

Skills:

• Great communication skills - someone who is exceptional at building trust, persuading stakeholders, inspiring team members, and selling solutions.

• Awareness of Cloud Native tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.

• Awareness of compute, storage, data, networking, security, and monitoring tools on AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.

• Experience with or Exposure to SIM Management platforms, Device Management and Device Entitlements a plus.

Salary Range

Compensation: $79,900.00/Year - $122,200.00/Year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
