Sling TV is a division of DISH and has a strong tradition of innovation in the space of video streaming and TV. Despite being a small part of the parent organization, with just over a couple of hundred employees, this team has conceptualized, designed and created a range of first-of-its-kind products, taking care of the whole gamut of technologies like hardware, embedded software, mobile applications, web services and other backend technologies.

This cuts across multiple dimensions like video delivery mechanism, content discovery interfaces, highly competitive dynamics in the market, and the sheer multitude of content available to the customer. Job Duties and Responsibilities

The team is looking for a Test Automation LEAD contributing to Test Automation Development to ensure best customer experience with our products

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Understanding the requirements and developing test cases for all product use cases in context of connected devices ex – FireTV, Android TV or mobiles etc…

• Leading the E2E Test automation development for a given track and execution of the scripts on the CI builds.

• Owning the automation scripts quality and reliability.

• Creation of automation scripts using Automation framework based on Python, Detox, CodeceptJS, Selenium/TestNG, Appium, XCUITest etc

• Write scripts for debugging using Fiddler/Charles, JMeter etc.

• Setting up CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins Job etc

• Logging Defects with all relevant details (debug logs, network logs, initial root cause analysis, etc) and tracking the defect to closure

• Communicating status of the testing with the project manager

• Exploring new techniques and tools in testing and sharing this with others in the testing team

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Qualification and Experience

Essential

• BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Experience: 7 to 10 years of experience with minimum 5 years on Automation

Highly desirable

• Must have hands on programming and scripting experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python language.

• Must have hands-on experience in Automation testing of apps on iOS/Android mobiles or Embedded products in Consumer electronics space

• Experience in one or more of the Automation tools and frameworks like Selenium/TestNG, Espresso, Appium, XCUITest, API testing, exposure to tools – Fiddler, Charles, Postman, JMeter 

• Experience in setting up/configuring Jenkins or GITLAB Master/Slave configurations. Exposure to CI/CD/DevOps practices.

• Ability to develop Automation Framework and Maintenance

• Experience on testing audio/video streaming applications would be an added advantage

Salary Range

Compensation: $121,550.00/Year - $164,450.00/Year
