Dow Inc.’s Finance organization has an opening for a Senior Treasury Specialist within the Treasury’s Financial Risk Management Team (FRMT). This position is located at the company’s Worldwide HQ in Midland, Michigan.
About You
In this role, you will be a key contributor to strategically managing and optimizing a $40+ billion global portfolio of financial positions comprised of foreign currencies, bonds, commodities and money market instruments. The successful candidate will have an excellent learning and career development experience as they begin their journey with Dow in the FRMT. As competencies improve, the scope of influence, authority and accountability grows. The company has a track record of developing and promoting successful FRMT members to eventually attain senior leadership roles such as Global Director, Treasurer and CFO.
You will develop expertise in:
Monitoring and analyzing macroeconomic conditions and financial markets.
Developing and implementing market strategies.
Evaluating derivative and hedging instruments.
Taking positions in the financial markets to generate profits.
Advising leadership on company and market conditions.
Reporting on performance and collaborating with stakeholders.
Navigating the various economic, regulatory, accounting and authority environments.
Operational infrastructure and strategy execution.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (preferentially in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Finance and/or Economics).
A minimum of 5 years of total experience.
A minimum requirement for this US-based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree (MBA, finance or quantitative focus preferred).
CFA Charter holder or progress towards the CFA Charter.
Understanding of financial operations, planning, accounting principles, regulatory and control environment, and business/financial law.
Strong interest in technology and financial systems.
Demonstrated competence and interest in mathematical and statistical methods.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
