Why You’ll Love This Job: n
The Solutions Risk and Control Office serves as the first-line risk management function for the DTCC Solutions Businesses, including the functions under the Chief Client Office. The team is accountable for assessing and instituting effective practices for identification and management of people, processes, and operational risks, as well as conformance with enterprise policies, frameworks and standards. The team plays a meaningful role in the design, planning, assessment, control, mitigation, monitoring and testing phases of the risk program across all risk families in DTCC’s corporate risk framework.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
n
n- Mitigates risk by following established procedures, identify key error partner with the business to understand the root cause and develop action plans to minimize risk of reoccurrence n- Maintain Oversight and monitor any outstanding issues and the associated action plans to ensure implementation target dates are met n- Provide a holistic view of the risk profile for the business unit by producing regular management reporting highlighting any items at risk of being past due. n- Effectively challenge management remediation of issues, as part of the sustainability reviews n- Supervise the monthly Solutions Issues and Action Report (i.e. MSI Metric requirement) and assess issues resulting from Audits to resolve if they should have been self-identified. n- Execute the Annual Sustainability reviews for both internal (direct/indirect) and external sourced action plans n- Perform independent reviews, challenge, and ensure consistent workflow quality control of issues both self-identified, as well as those resulting from risk assessments (include lessons learned and scenario analysis), and risk incidents. n- Manage the annual Risk Assessment process for each business area, ensuring a consist approach and adoption of methodology. Challenge managers to ensure assessment to complete and accurate. n- Perform quality review of Process, Risk, and Control data to ensure GRC foundational elements are periodically refreshed to reflect current procedures for oversight and consistency. n- Oversee the execution of Business Management and service providers testing of internal controls, provide review and challenge of test scope, test methods, test procedures, and evaluation of results. n- Deliver periodic risk management and control training to Business Management and support teams, as vital. n- Collaborate closely with Governance, Risk, and Compliance Program to adopt key risk management objectives as they are pursued and enacted. n- Conduct Control Assessments inclusive of trend analysis to drive consistent risk management practices across Solutions Businesses n- Drive incident / problem management and root cause analysis activities n- Lead ad-hoc risk-related projects, such as risk profile validation, model surveys, policy and procedure maintenance, creation / validation of risk meeting materials, etc. n- Mentor and guide partners and line management on how to embed preventative measures and key controls to assess the health of their processes n

Talents Needed for Success:

n- Minimum of 7 years of related experience n- Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience n- Risk Management and Audit experience preferred n- Extensive experience in a control function in a financial services organisation, with primary focus on information technology highly preferred. n- Strong written and oral communication skills n- Experience working in a global team and working with colleagues in remote locations. n- Experience working in a regulated environment. n- Strong understanding of operational workflows, systems processing and technology. n- Ability to process flow operational processes. n
