About this Opportunity
n
The Business Risk manager will work closely with the Business, Operations and Technical staff as well as the rest of the control functions in the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risks in both business as usual processes and in upcoming business projects.
n
What You'll Do
n
n- Proactively identify and assist (reassess, anticipate, manage, reduce) in mitigating risks within DTCC ITP through: n- Develop establishment of ITP specific risk and control framework n- Lead the redesign/support the execution of the management control testing program n- Represent business risk in tribes and CABs n- Provide ITP business risk governance and oversight during the planning and execution stages of Strategic IT Platform initiatives n- Support ITP Change/Release and Incident/Problem Management activities n- Ad-hoc risk related projects and Business As Usual activities such as risk profiles validation, ITP IRQ submission, ITP policy and procedure maintenance, creation/validation of risk/board meeting material etc. n- Monitor existing business activity for risk exposure and communicate recommendations on the acceptability and potential mitigants for these risks with the Business Risk team, business management, Compliance, Operations, Technology, Legal and all relevant control functions. n- Strengthen DTCC ITP’s controls over risk and comply with corporate initiatives, including but not limited to: New Initiatives Process (NIC), Management Self Identification of Audit Issues, Operational Risk Management Risk Policies and Procedures, as well as corporate risk policies, procedures and best practices. n- Demonstrate and embed the behaviors and competencies that create a risk management mindset within DTCC ITP. n- Foster an environment of regulatory awareness and ensure regulatory compliance. n- Execute required incident management and escalation processes as per the DTCC ITP Incident management procedures which includes central point of coordination for post incident information gathering as required by local regulators, participants and/or internal stakeholders. n- Support Compliance and Business in liaising with regulators on an ongoing basis. n- Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior. n

Sound Like You?

n- Minimum of 7 years of related experience n- Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience n
n
Additional Qualifications
n
n- Extensive experience in a control function in a financial services organization, with primary focus on information technology highly preferred. n- Experience working in a global team and working with colleagues in remote locations. n- Experience working in a regulated environment. n- Strong understanding of operational workflows, systems processing and technology. n- Ability to process flow operational processes. n
