The impact you will have in this role:
The First Line Resilience and Control (FLRC) function within Clearing and Securities Services (C&SS) enables effective and efficient strategy execution and comprehensive risk, resilience, and governance priorities for the organization. The role is within the Documentation Management (DM) group which supports the Systemically Important Financial Market Utility (SIFMU) product management and Global Business Operations (GBO) businesses, engaging with key partners across the organization to align departmental control frameworks and documentation with regulatory expectations and organizational standard processes.
The holder of this position is required to support risk management activities and provide project oversight within their assigned areas of responsibility. In performing these responsibilities, the individual works collaboratively with business operations and product management, FLRC management and other cross-functional groups, Legal, Compliance, Operational Risk, and other key internal and external partners to help assess, capture, model, document, and validate the alignment of the business area's activities to applicable rules and regulations, policies, procedures, and other internal documentation.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
Supports the development and maintenance of the documentation environment for aligned business areas, including Policies, Procedures, Job-Aids, and other internally generated documentation to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and standards that govern those documents and corporate policy
Develops and maintains business area process models to comprehensively capture business processes while facilitating detailed linkages and analyses to metadata components
Assesses the risk and control environment to identify gaps and/or enhancement opportunities and effectively communicates to business partners while providing effective challenge when necessary
Supports SIFMU and GBO departments in maintaining the integrity of the Covered Clearing Agency Standards (CCAS) and the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures (PFMI)
Defines department goals and initiatives and communicates to senior management on group progress.
Creates and promotes relationships with other key functional areas (Embedded Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Relations, Operational Risk, etc.) to help assess, capture, document, and validate the alignment of business area activities to applicable rules, policies, procedures, and other internal documentation.
Proactively seeks continuous improvement to supported processes and technology and adapts to constant change
Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior
Develops and communicates department risk policies, procedures, and standard methodologies
Supports an environment of regulatory awareness within SIFMU product management and GBO areas
Talents Needed for Success:
Minimum of 4 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
