TCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).**
The Impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of the RDS (Repository and Derivative Services) Delivery Team, you will be part of the Application development of the GTR (Global Trade Repository) platform.
You would be part of an Agile squad and will collaborate with the other GTR regional teams (verticals) and the horizontals / CoE within the RDS group and across DTCC. You would actively participate and contribute on developing and delivering a robust and scalable platform solution as per the regulatory and client requirements.
The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, detailing technical requirements, crafting, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and improvement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that tackle sophisticated business problems.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
Act as a technical expert on one or more applications applied by DTCC.
Work with the Business System Analyst to ensure designs satisfy functional requirements.
Partner with Infrastructure to identify and deploy efficient hosting environments.
Tune application performance to eliminate and reduce issues.
Research and evaluate technical solutions consistent with DTCC technology standards.
Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.
Apply different software development methodologies dependent on project needs.
Contribute expertise to the design of components or individual programs and participate in the construction and functional testing.
Support development teams, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
Build applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.
Work with peers to mature ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.
Talents Needed for Success:
8+ years SQL PL/SQL and Data Warehouse technologies
Experience in Snowflake is a plus.
Experience in Python, Java, J2EE, JUnit, is an added advantage.
DevOps tools like Maven, Jenkins, nexus, fortify, Containers, etc.
AWS Cloud Experience
Design and development of RDBMS systems like snowflake, Oracle, and other cloud DBs
Solid Understanding of Unix/Linux OS including shell scripting, Perl and/or python
Solid understanding of Agile, CI/CD, Jenkins, Dev/Ops practices and tools.
Demonstrates strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Experience in OTC Derivatives Markets is a plus.
Experienced in working with a geographically separated (onshore + offshore) team.
