We are looking for a Product Owner for Institutional Trade Processing’s new service - ITP Data Analytics.

n

Serving as a critical tool for buy side and sell side clients alike, this product delivers a suite of powerful analytical services that enable broker/dealers and investment managers to measure, compare, and benchmark operational performance against that of counterparties and industry peers.

n

DTCC’s Institutional Trade Processing’s vision is to enable clients to reduce the number of touches in the post trade lifecycle and leverage consolidated exception and settlement management capabilities to drive settlement finality. With ITP Data Analytics being a core part of the ITP Strategy and a key enabler of the target vision, you have an unique opportunity to contribute to its execution with data driven insights.

The Product Owner will be a product champion and subject matter specialist that is data driven, passionate about the UI client experience and determined to ensure the client 'voice' is reflected in product outcomes. At heart an analyst who loves to tackle client problems and discover creative methods to deliver success while aligning the ITP Data Analytics product roadmap with the broader ITP organisational product strategy.

You will need to draw on your domain knowledge of post trade processing to convey (often via wireframes, dashboards, or models) client requirements. You will ensure the Technology solutions available are able to meet the business goals all the while being sufficiently articulate to communicate the value proposition and key benefits of the service to internal users and customers to increase adoption.

n

The Product Owner will be instrumental in significant initiatives to transform all aspects of data visualisation and analytics for clients and internal partners. The work will complement the efforts of the wider ITP organisation and lead to a single accurate view of the trade lifecycle from execution to settlement.

Your Primary Responsibilities n

n- Help define and communicate a product vision, develop mockups/wire frames and lead road mapping, goal setting, story writing, prioritizing, project execution, and data product roll-out strategy n- Take lead in defining goals for data that align with the broader organisational vision — building both short- and long-term strategies, such as defining key metrics to supervise success n- Brings the voice of the client (external/internal) into the Agile Development team. Understands customer needs and ensures customers are considered in prioritization and trade-off discussions n- Cultivates relationships with the Agile Program leads and key Technology team members to identify issues, risks, and dependencies, and maintain alignment to achieve product strategy n- Incorporates and prioritizes technical work, as required, to deliver on release objectives n- Improves product value by evaluating implementation alternatives and considering impact of changing scope on budget and estimates n- Leads the Agile Development team’s backlog: n

n- Builds and refines the backlog of user stories with the squad to provide the right level of detail at the right time to achieve definition of ready (preparation for development) n- Accepts or rejects backlog items, according to acceptance criteria, during the sprint n- Participates in acceptance testing and signs off that requirements were delivered as per the Product team’s expectations n

n- Attends and participates in all Agile Development team meetings (including but not limited to sprint and release events) n

Talents Needed For Success: n

n- Minimum of 5 years of related experience n- Strong background in Product Management, Data Analytics, UI/UX, Dashboards, Wireframing, and User Story Writing n- Understands the broad uses of data within the organisation and capable of creating solutions that improve the productivity of data users n- Understands the business, strategy, data sets, and works with partners to develop reusable data models, dashboards, or other data assets n- Contributes to and drives the strategic direction of our data analytics capabilities n- Knows the client journey and client experience to evolve the product, identifies new insights and contributes to driving additional revenue through delivering enhanced capabilities n- Exhibits solid understanding of Agile Software Development (primarily Scrum and Kanban) principles and techniques n- Understands and uses applicable work management tools (i.e. JIRA) for collaboration, decision making, and reporting n- Knowledge of financial services operations, Post Trade Processing, industry trends, regulatory environment, and user demands n- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving skills, organization skills, and attention to detail n
