The Associate Computer Operation Engineering role is responsible for providing leadership and technical support for various applications and systems within DTCC's Mainframe operations environments.

n

n

The role will execute all aspects of batch and system related task operating procedures within a predefined shift pattern. They will be responsible to work closely with our Enterprise Infrastructure teams along with our internal and external business clients to resolve and escalate technical support incidents where necessary.

As a member of the Enterprise Production team. The Associate Computer Operation role is responsible for providing technical support for various applications and systems within DTCC's Mainframe operation environments. We work closely with our Enterprise Infrastructure teams and our internal business clients to resolve and advance technical support incidents where necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

n

n- Support DTCC applications by providing monitoring, application, and system support for DTCC’s Production, QA, PSE, DEV and test environments n- Provide 24x7 support for event monitoring, incident triage, and critical issues. n- Provide support to all environments on a shift basis, handling any activity for any environment as required n- Provide access administration for application access to DTCC's various Production, QA, PSE, DEV and test environments and applications n- Provide lead management support in maintaining the host operating system on Mainframe, Linux/UNIX, and Windows environments n- Provide oversight on IPLs, MVS console activity, and HMC activities n- Provide support and assistance with Autosys jobs/boxes, mainframe scheduling activities and auto operator commands on UNIX/LINUX servers n- Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures n- Contribute to projects by executing task deliverables and ensuring permit-to-operate (PTO) guidelines are met. n- Provide support for change management approval, execution for DTCC’s data center services n- Perform level 1 and 2 support for Mainview MQ & CICS products. n- Disaster Recovery experience a plus as participation in disaster recovery tests are required (done on weekends) n

n- Knowledge of CA1/7/11/CA Scheduler and JCL n- Distributed Autosys Scheduler n- Knowledge of IPLs using HMC n- Mainview MQ & CICS products n- Knowledge of Windows OS and UNIX / LINUX OS a plus n- Strong written and verbal communication / presentation skills n- Working knowledge of IBM z/OS, JES2, MVS n- Experience in working in a mainframe operations environment n- Working knowledge of VTAM, TSO/ISPF, and Service now n- Alert management using Service Now and Splunk dashboards n- Strong background in large-scale, multi-sysplex environments n- High level of problem solving and decision-making skills. n- Responsible for all aspects of batch processing, including the timeliness of online availability. n- Support the Major Incident Management teams. n- Support automation by making recommendations for optimizing and streamlining daily functions and daily batch cycles. n- Coordinate weekend activities for testing and installation of all system and application hardware and software changes. n- Proficient with Microsoft Software Product suites (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.) n
