About this Opportunity

The Systems Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership across Enterprise Infrastructure. This role supports key project driven initiatives, as well as operational tasks to maintain the integrity of infrastructure environment.

What You'll Do

n

n- Support DTCC Infrastructure by providing monitoring and system support for DTCC‘s Production, QA, PSE, DEV and test environments n- Provide 24x7 support for event monitoring, incident triage and escalation n- Provide support to all environments on a shift basis, handling any activity for any environment as required n- Contribute to projects by executing task deliverables and guidelines are met. n- Service Now alert monitoring and resolution across various platforms. n- Work closely with peers to improve workflow process and communication. n-  Align risk and control processes into daily responsibilities. n-  Provide comprehensive technical support to peers, business unit and IT MGMT. n-  Reduce nonactionable operational events. n-  Drive automation of manual support task. n-  Maintain stability of the infrastructure environment. n-  Develop and produce timely metrics based on the required management platforms. n-  Execute performance and statistical monitoring to develop procedures and best practices which improve overall environment. n-  Actively strives to keep Standards documents, Process and Procedures Documents, and Baseline documents up to date with emerging industry standards n-  Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately. n

n- 4-5 years of related experience n- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience n

n

Additional Qualifications

n

n- Familiar with ITIL practices and industry standard Alert, Incident, Problem and Change Management practices. n- Desired experience with any of the below: n n- Virtual Platform – vSwitch/Port group configurations, host/VM management, vcenter alarms, performance charts, VsphereUCS management, Nutanix, vSAN / NSX / VMAX. n- Windows – knowledge of MS Server/Workstation O/S 2008/12/16/19/22 n- Unix/Linux – Unix/Linux platform specifically RHEL 5,6, 7 & 8 on physical and virtual environment. n- TCP/IP networking, Unix/Linux systems and monitoring protocols (SNMP, Syslog). Chef-client, Netbackup, Autosys, NFS, SAN storage filesystems. AWS sys admin functions. n- Database – Preferred but not required: Dist. Technologies related to Oracle, SQL/PLSQL. Golden Gate, ASM, Oracle RAC, Data Guard. Maintaining database instances on prem & cloud. n- Networking – Working knowledge of Cisco equipment and interconnectivity, OSI model and data extraction analysis n- Distributed Middleware Services / Tools – Working knowledge of WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, MQ, Informatica DIH/DQ, DMW,DSG. JVM, AWS cloud. Jenkins, Mcafee, threat Grid, Splunk, Tripwire, Qradar, Rapid-7 & HP BSM. n- Storage – Netapp, VMAX VNXE, Unisphere n- Autosys  n n
