Cost Accountant

Eaton's AER ITD division is currently seeking a Cost Accountant.

What you'll do:

Job Summary:
This position is responsible to perform the costing activities related project transfers for the Nogales plant and the overall responsibilities of this position are to have an accurate cost structure and provide the necessary support and analysis for a successful transfer making sure all this are aligned to the Eaton policies. The Cost Accountant requires a high level of problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all functional levels. Is also a Key role member assisting the Plant Controller preparing complex analysis and responsible for actively participate in a continuous improvement initiatives looking savings opportunities and improve costing processes.

Job Responsibilities
Cost accounting activities like Sales & COGS reconciliation, margin analysis, inventory analysis, material and price variances, production orders variances, efficiency & productivity analysis, costing & recosting products and other related costing
Cost estimation, analysis and cost models validation support for new products
Annual Cost roll up coordination, review and analysis with Engineering and Purchasing teams to have an accurate run times and material prices ensuring the proper Std cost by PN. Also calculates the manufacturing burden, material, and tack on rates.
Perform month end, forecast, and profit plant activities according to the Leader Std Work
Prepare the daily, weekly, monthly reports related production, new products, or any project transfer to top management at plant or division.
Pricing, margin, and transfer prices analysis for transferred products.
Coordinates Physical inventory with Warehouse Supervisor & coordinates with purchasing & planning the ABC classification for all the PNs
Internal controls review such as policies, procedures creation and updates related to the role or Costing processes.
Prepare complex financial analysis for management, including analysis of main variances to forecast, profit plan, last year and quarters
Assist the Plant Controller & Lead Financial Analyst with P&L analysis, Balance sheet analysis and any other requirement requested.
Cost out project validations and approvals
Cycle counts adjustment, report analysis and validation
Lead Physical inventory with Warehouse Supervisor

Qualifications:

Education level required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial field
Leadership skills to resolve multiple situations effectively.
Work under the guidelines, policies and process of Eaton's Philosophy

Years and area of experience required
2-4 years of experience in Cost accounting in a Manufacturing environment
Technical knowledge

Expert level skills with Microsoft Excel
Knowledgeable in SAP(desired), Oracle, Encore, DFT systems, Power BI.
Technical skills in accounting, forecasting, cost control and purchasing procedures.
English (advanced written and oral)
