Eaton's ES CRDS RESI Residential division is currently seeking a Division Quality Manager. This position will be based out of Peachtree City, GA.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $https://101250.0 - $https://148500.0 a year.

What you'll do:

The Division Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring a robust and effective supply chain for RWD products aligned around zero defects, lean manufacturing concepts and continual improvements with the vendor supply base. Integral to this is improving supplier quality, on-time delivery and cost performance through development activities with a focus on supporting development of LCC (low cost country sources).
Provide overall leadership and direction with external suppliers on all BPI, Six Sigma, Quality and LEAN activities. Conduct extensive problem-solving and vendor education to prevent recurrence of vendor defects. Define and lead projects to improve process, products and components received for WD and Residential products with external suppliers in order to improve the quality and cost of non-conformance. Define and lead process improvement projects in order to improve vendors leading indicators.

  • Develop relationships with suppliers and implement problem-solving and mistake proofing processes.

  • Ensure timely implementation of corrective actions and problem-solving on opportunities identified with vendors.

  • Develop vendor quality strategy and coordinate cross-functional activities to implement the Eaton Quality Policy and compliance with the Supplier Excellence Manual in order to achieve supplier quality goals. Implement metrics of progress with vendors.

  • Conduct Supplier Quality audits and assessments and product audits in order to identify opportunities for improvement and lead the implementation of corrective actions.

  • Participate and provide support of the Quality System for the division including focus on EBS and OPA system improvements.

  • Understanding of products to continually improve product and vendor quality.

  • Utilize WISPR to track vendor Defective Material Reports and validate measurable improvements.

  • Engage in Prolaunch to pro-actively develop part inspection plans to ensure capability improvements to Critical to Quality Characteristics and ensure that PPAP's are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Facilitate supplier change requests (SCR's) to ensure Eaton and vendors agree on changes requested.

  • Monitor Warranty Claims and Failure Mode Investigation and Analysis; resolves warranty issues and implements process improvements at vendors and at RWD factories

  • Assist with Division Operating Review, Quarterly CONC reviews, ESA operating reviews and special presentations to ESA and VP of Eaton Quality when requested.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree on industrial, mechanical, electrical or electromechanical engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering (ECE) , business administration or other STEM degree from an accredited institution

  • Five (5)+ years experience in quality engineering, engineering or manufacturing

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master degree in Quality, engineering, administration or other science.

  • Experience with electronical manufacturing and/or software

  • Six Sigma Certification

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to speak to all levels of the organization

  • Basic Spanish or Mandarin can be helpful

  • Strong problem solving skills (8D, Pareto, 5 Why's, A3, etc.)

  • Project Management Knowledge

  • Knowledge in the interpretation of ISO 9001 requirements

  • PC knowledge: Minitab, Microsoft Office, MS Project, MS Vision
