The successful candidate will work closely with global R&D Teams & local customers and leverage their expertise to strengthen relationships with key accounts, and the Data Centre Segment strategy.
Key Duties:
Familiar with Power Studies: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-fidelity PSS®E (RMS) and PSCAD™ (EMT) modelling for the customers. Act as the primary technical point of contact for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure model accuracy and performance are met based on customer requirement.
Grid connection: Support and work with Data Centre operators, grid connection teams, utility provider, and authorities (e.g., AEMO/NSPs) to secure grid connections.
Commissioning & Testing: Oversee site deployment and integrated system testing from a grid compliance perspective to ensure the Equipment provided meet the required standards by the NER (National Electricity Rules).
Sustainability and renewable: Lead the technical evaluation and integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), including on-site solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), to enhance data centre resilience and sustainability.
Critical Infrastructure: Understand the technology and lifecycle of backup power systems (UPS systems) and MV and LV power distribution systems.
Technology and design: Have an understanding about the Data centre power distribution systems, UPS, Inverter based technologies will be an added advantage.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering .
5+ years in power system design for mission-critical, Data centre, or utility-scale environments.
Knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., AS/NZS 3000) and National Electricity Rules.
Proven ability to translate complex technical risks into clear executive reports and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
