    What you'll do:

    We are looking forward for Engineering Leader to lead and shape strong cost out portfolio & Resiliency for Eaton Electrical and Industrial portfolio. This Role Develops DtV/VAVE processes & organization for Eaton & leads implementation of it in engineering function for cost out(Existing Products) & cost avoidance(New Products). This is strategic & Operating leadership role giving direct oversight to a team of experts/ Managers and develops working relationship with global engineering, supply chain and Product line management for Design to Value & VAVE. We are looking for motivated professionals with excellent leadership skills and track record of shaping and executing strong cost out portfolio in challenging global organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drive Cost out Projects pipeline for Industrial and Electrical sectors.

    • Involve in key NPI programs and drive value and cost out at early stage of programs to make them profitable.

    • Shape product road map for driving cost out across various product lines and alignment with global business priorities.

    • Develop best in class Teardown & benchmarking facility/team at EIIC

    • Work with Global Engineering to enhance DtV/VAVE savings significantly through various DtV tools/Processes.

    • Continuously improve EBS Process & Implementation across Eaton for DtV, https://e.g. digitization, PROLaunch improvements, databases, tools.

    • Build synergy with global Engineering Leaders, EIIC engineering Leaders, SCM CoE leaders (one part, ESSP, Should cost to name few) & other DMP category leaders.

    • Provide leadership in executing the strategic and operational plans for Cost out & cost avoidance(NPI) DtV/VAVE Projects to achieve measurable outputs in terms -of cost out goals/ cost avoidance.

    • Identify and develop digitization opportunities for improving speed & productivity of DtV/VAVE process/people.

    • Synergies and leverage engineering capabilities across different business groups to drive cost out / avoidance.

    • Build Organizational capability - Hire and develop talent; Continuously assess, propose and implement the changes to organization structure to build effective teams

    • Train, develop & motivate subordinates to achieve their professional goals & review their accomplishments.

    • Lead the project portfolio for cost avoidance & cost out projects, cost out events.

    • Provides periodic portfolio insights relating to risk vs rewards. Provides updates to the business units/ Product teams wise as well as divisional, and group level

    Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics engineering

    • 20+ years' experience in Design & Development of Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronics components

    • Minimum 10 years relevant experience with 5+ years in leadership & people management.

    • Sound knowledge of Product development life cycle on multiple projects including requirements, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification

    • Very good understanding and demonstrated experience of Design to Value Techniques/processes & VAVE practices

    • Sound knowledge and experience of design and development of product life cycle

    • Sound Knowledge of project management, quality tracking, preparing proposal etc.

    • Experience collaborating with local / global team like engineering, supply chain,

    • Excellent communications skills. A high degree of aptitude, creativity is required
