Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Foundry Equipment Maintenance - 2nd Shift at our Syracuse, NY location.
The hourly rate for this position is $https://32.23 per hour.

What you'll do:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform all required duties to diagnose and correct electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical malfunctions on automated foundry production equipment or machinery. Check sequence of machine operation, determining type of machine malfunction, making necessary repairs, readjusting and testing instruments and machinery to manufacturer's standards, within established limitations. Duties include the altering, repairing, adjusting and/or piping of water, air, gas, oil, etc. to meet foundry equipment specifications and/or correct machine malfunctions as required. May be required to generate shop orders. Work from shop orders, blueprints, schematics, operational manuals, verbal information, manufacturer's specifications, etc. Job duties require knowledge of https://D.C. and https://A.C. electrical theory; pneumatic and hydraulic theory and practice; plumbing and piping repair theory and practice; machine repair theory and practice involving theory and practice involving close tolerance assembly and fits; must be thoroughly grounded in the use of measuring instruments and devices. Required to know sequence and intra-relationship of machines operations including the evaluation of pressure, flow and dimensions in all machine functions. Detect and correct machine malfunctions and refer questionable cases to proper supervision. As needed, locate, issue and record a variety of items such as raw materials, parts, tools and equipment from the maintenance tool crib. Operate fork truck as required in performance of job duties. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition. Follow standard or prescribed safety regulations.
Duties involve application of practical trades training and considerable experience to perform unusual and difficult work and adapt standard procedures and methods to meet new conditions requiring considerable judgment. This covers both the Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Foundries inclusive.
What you'll do:
Perform all required duties to maintain and repair a wide variety of foundry equipment and machinery and grinding equipment in all foundry areas.
Tear down, diagnose faulty operation, replace or repair worn or defective parts, reassemble and adjust such equipment as molding machines, shot blast, conveyors, hoists, grinding equipment, blowers, fans roto-cones, etc.
Align and adjust as necessary to insure proper operation.
Replace conveyor belts, pillow blocks, bearings, shafts, operating components such as gear boxes, speed reducers, etc.
Lubricate equipment on prescribed schedule or as necessary; check for excessive heat, noise or other operational defects during lubrication.
Adjust stripping pins and squeeze heat height as necessary and perform a variety of similar or associated duties as required or directed.

Preferred qualifications:
Minimum (4) four full time years' experience or the equivalent to Journeymen level experience.
