Lead Analyst

What you'll do:

Job summary

Communicates with finance stakeholders to understand their technical needs. Develops and analyzes functional specifications, builds reporting analytics and coordinates with data analysts/developers to build and implement technology solutions. Designs efficient technology solutions that meet finance needs.

Responsible for business requirements & analysis, testing, and functional design, and training for medium to large finance technology projects. Performs as a functional designer to implement solutions for medium complexity requirements. Implements solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Completes data mapping, create rulesets, and leverage low code/no code technology to put automation and reporting solutions in place."

Job responsibilities

• Designs, configures and implements financial system improvements and finance technology to meet desired business objectives with the occasional support of 3rd party consultants, IT counterparts, and teammates.
• Responsible for requirements elicitation, requirements analysis and validation, testing scenarios and script development, solution design, and leading user acceptance testing for small and medium complexity projects.
• Completes functional specifications and configuration; leads testing material preparation, unit testing, user acceptance testing events, production cutover, and warranty support.
• Prepare end-user training materials and leads training.
• Supports project scoping, builds problem statement with the end users, prepares compelling business cases and calculates return on investment (ROI).
• Independently designs medium complexity reporting and technology solutions, leveraging knowledge of Eaton's data and systems to optimize deliverables.
• Implements low/no-code automations for medium complexity projects.
• Audits low to medium-complexity financial processes and makes recommendations for improvements via technology, automation, or standardization.
• Able to drive local, regional, and divisional solutions
• Builds strong relationships with finance and IT peers.
• Maps requirements through design via traceability to make sure the digital value proposition is realized.
• Cultivates innovation and experimentation.
• Responsible for intermediate level technology solutions and system configurations
• Facilitates regression testing for global solutions as needed prior to migrating to productive system
• Effectively communicates deliverable status to program management and leadership in order to effectively mitigate risks and resolve issues.
• Develops user interface standards and implements overall look and feel of the finance technology product.

• Completes functional specifications and configuration per approved design data and sytems to optimize deliverables.
• Support end to end business processes and has intermediate level understanding of data and system touch points.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Intermediate level of finance functional expertise and application knowledge (ERP, planning applications, BI or automation solutions).
• Prefer tool experience with Eaton ERPs including SAP (ECC or S4), Oracle R12, Mfgpro, Mapics, etc
• Financial planning or reporting user experience with Oracle EPM/Hyperion, ETL tools such as Informatica, Power BI, Power Apps, SAP BW, OBIEE, Tableau, Qlik, Dataiku, or Alteryx
• Participated on prior projects.
• Experience with function or technical roles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Intermediate financial acumen
• Good team-oriented interpersonal skills. Assists with facilitation sessions, may require some coaching on how to lead and influence others, and to effectively interface and work with a wide variety of people.
