    What you'll do:

    • Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site

    • Champions and leads projects designed to effectively drive improvements in our "Zero Incident Safety Culture" program(s) Drive and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.

    • Assist in MESH implementation at site

    • Assist in the preparation and control of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations

    • Ensures industrial hygiene monitoring for identified hazardous risk such as air, noise, dust, etc.

    • Maintains and monitors current information and plant compliance on government EHS regulations and corporate policy

    • Prepares required reports, plans and other government EHS filings and ensures timely and accurate submission

    • Evaluate jobs for possible ergonomic improvements (body mechanics, lifts, hoists, manipulators, etc.) and implement these work design changes

    • Actively investigate all accidents and near misses, identifies root causes, and ensures corrective actions are implemented. Will be the lead person for 8D on all recordable accidents.

    • Coordinates all OSHA compliance programs, including, but not limited to: PPE, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Blood Borne Pathogen, Foot Protection and Eye Protection, Confined Space, Contractor Safety and Hazard Communication

    • Serves as a leader of the plant's safety committee

    • Maintains an up-to-date emergency response procedure

    • Other projects as assigned

    Qualifications:

    Required (Basic) Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

    • Minimum one (1) year of EHS experience, or equivalent, in a manufacturing environment.

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.

    • No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Arden, NC facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree in Safety, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), or Environmental Health and Safety from an accredited institution

    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations

    • Lean fundamental understanding

    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

    Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to work as a self-starter or as part of a team
