    Position summary

    ments range in scope from high level system concepts to detailed sub-system development and analysis. It is expected that the person in this role will participate in large NPD projects as a subsystem core team member and/or as the lead system designer; it is also expected that this role will be able to lead small NPD projects and technology development projects.

    • Leverage digital design and engineering simulation tools to design, develop and integrate components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.

    • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize Design for X (manufacturability, serviceability, etc.).

    • Work closely with suppliers to develop and prototype components.

    • Develop sub-system functional and reliability test plans and coordinate the execution of the tests using both internal and external lab resources.

    • Lead small project teams to deliver requirements meeting schedule, cost, and quality targets.

    • Develop work processes and durations for completing assigned project tasks with the ability to identify critical dependencies and risks.

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution

    • Two (2) years of design engineering experience

    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

    • Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of South Milwaukee, WI.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with phase gate project management processes

    • Familiar with the electric power industry, especially medium-voltage distribution

    • Design experience with multiple technologies including, injection molding, metal die-casting, sheet metal.

    Skills:

    Position Criteria:

    • Building large models and assemblies in 3D CAD

    • Basic drafting including GD&T

    • Microsoft office automation tools (Power BI, VBA, SharePoint)
