Execute design, development, and related technical tasks required to advance the product line.
Provide technical leadership and oversight for the development of low-voltage and switching device products. Specific focus on materials, kinematics, and arc separation of switches. Leading engineers and/or designers in new product development projects.
Mentor other Six Sigma candidates.
Mentor less experienced engineers and designers in the US, India, and Mexico
Coordinating with Sales, Marketing, and customers to determine design specifications for future and existing products.
Writing design verification test plans (electrical, thermal, and mechanical).
Orchestrating all necessary product approvals & certifications with the applicable standards agencies (UL, CSA, KEMA, ANSI, etc.)
Initiating and promoting generation of new ideas and documenting them appropriately for possible patent application and protection.
Coordinating design activities within project scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Science degree from accredited program
Minimum of 10 year's experience in product design or sustainability in Electro-mechanical design OR Electrical design OR Mechanical design

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CAD systems
Experience in design of switching devices
Experience with drawing vault software (Enovia)
DFSS Blackbelt
5 years experience in supervision of people role
Design and testing to IEE, UL, CSA, or IEC standards
Design verification through analysis and test
