The expected annual salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 a year.

Primary Function:
The primary function of the Product Specialist is to be a skilled technical communicator who creates a well written customer proposal based on a customer request for quote and/or a specification using the quotation system and process the customer's purchase order prior to Engineering design. They will also be a liaison for Sales and Engineering to respond to customer requests.
In this role you will:
Create multiple Voltage Regulator proposals, on a daily basis, per customer's request-for-quote (RFQ), specifications (formal and in-formal), one-lines, and other documentation.
Perform detailed specification reviews to identify and address:
o Customer requirements
o Features and accessories required for pricing program.
o Areas for exception or clarification for the customer
o Alternates for a more competitive offering
o Special test, customer test/witness, or customer inspection requirements
o Special documentation and reporting
Process multiple orders, on a daily basis, from both internal and field priced proposals
o Verify PO against proposal and resolve all discrepancies.
o Verify specification matches proposal and resolve all discrepancies.
o Assemble documentation for Design Engineering
o Communicate special requirements to affected departments.
Process customer change orders against open sales orders using the Change/Hold/Cancellation process.
Approve and negotiate pricing per established guidelines, competitive feedback, and customer/market knowledge.
Provide product and application technical support for customers, agents, and internal departments.
Acts as a liaison between engineering, scheduling, and customers
Understand and utilize lean tools and concepts to drive continuous improvement.
Learn and understand applicable industry standards i.e. ANSI, IEEE, CSA, NEMA for Transformers
Participate in the creation and maintenance of ISO work instructions.
Participate in customer visits to the Customer Service Center
Provide plant tours as needed.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business
Must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
No relocation assistance will be provided for this role. Only candidates that reside within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree
One (1) year of product, customer service, inside sales, or proposals experience in a technical field (may include internships or co-ops)
Two (2) years of experience in technical marketing, engineering, or manufacturing (may include internships or co-ops)
One (1) year of experience using ERP and quotation systems.
Position Criteria
Knowledge of electric power voltage regulators and their components and accessories.
Knowledge of typical applications, equipment, systems, and standards for electric power voltage regulators.
Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills to support internal and external contacts within a multi-cultured environment.
Detail oriented, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and work to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SAP or other ERP related system and the ability to utilize such tools to analyze data and solve routine problems.
Must be very customer and commercial centric.
